PUBLIC EVENTS HELD
Free Speech Ministries is a Christ-centered organization committed to restoring moral clarity, courageous dialogue, and truth-driven leadership in the next generation. We train college students to speak with conviction, engage opposition with humility, and defend both truth and liberty in the public square.
To train the next generation in the art of civil discourse, equipping people to speak truth with grace, listen with humility, and engage opposition with respect, so that unity might be restored to our nation and every person in America may hear the Gospel of Jesus Christ.
We envision an America transformed by truth and grace. A nation where disagreements no longer divide us, where believers lead with both conviction and compassion, and where the Gospel has been clearly proclaimed to every heart and home.
1. Truth Above All
We believe truth is not subjective, invented, or negotiated. Truth is revealed by God and corresponds to reality. Every conversation begins and ends with the pursuit of truth.
2. Freedom of Speech as Stewardship
Speech is not merely a right; it is a responsibility. We are called to use our voices wisely, courageously, and compassionately to defend the good, the true, and the beautiful.
3. Gentleness and Respect
Following 1 Peter 3:15, we defend our faith with clarity and conviction, yet always with gentleness, respect, and love for the person.
4. Intellectual Honesty
We seek understanding, not victory. We embrace logic, evidence, and reason as tools to glorify God and reveal His order in creation.
5. Humility
We are quick to admit when we do not know, concede when our interlocutors have made a good point, and have our minds changed when the evidence supports it
6. Courage Under Fire
Free speech means nothing if no one will use it. We train to speak truth even when it costs us, because silence in the face of falsehood is complicity.
7. Unity Without Compromise
We engage people of all beliefs and backgrounds with humility, finding common cause in defending truth and conscience, while holding fast to the essentials of the faith.
8. Discipline and Excellence
We treat rhetoric, philosophy, and apologetics as disciplines worthy of mastery, training believers like warriors of the Word, both sharp in mind and steadfast in spirit.
1. God — There is one God, eternally existing in three Persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
2. Scripture — The Bible is the inspired, inerrant, and authoritative Word of God; the final standard for truth, morality, and human flourishing.
3. Jesus Christ — Jesus Christ is fully God and fully man, begotten of the father, conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the virgin Mary, crucified for our sins, raised bodily from the dead, ascended into heaven, and reigns as Lord over all for now and forever.
4. Salvation — Salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ alone, not by works, that no one may boast.
5. Humanity — Humanity is made in the image of God, endowed with dignity, moral responsibility, and free will, yet fallen through sin and in need of redemption.
6. The Holy Spirit — The Spirit convicts the world of sin, regenerates believers, empowers them for godly living, and equips them to boldly bear witness to the truth.
7. The Church — The Church is the body of Christ, called to love God, love people, proclaim truth, and make disciples of all nations.
8. The Great Commission — Our ultimate mission is to glorify God by proclaiming the Gospel, making disciples, and contending for truth in every arena of life: public, academic, and personal.
9. The Return of Christ — We await the visible return of Jesus Christ, who will judge the living and the dead and establish His everlasting kingdom of righteousness and peace.
The last century taught humanity a brutal truth:
When truth is abandoned and God is removed from public life, nations collapse into darkness.
History shows three realities we cannot ignore:
1. We Need God
The intrinsic value of every human being cannot be grounded in naturalism. When societies lose the belief that people are made in the image of God, atrocities follow.
2. We Need the Tension of Ideas
When one political ideology silences the other, societies devolve into oppression and violence. A free nation requires honest disagreement, not tyrannical dominance.
3. We Need Free Speech
Before any society becomes tyrannical, free speech is the first liberty taken. Without it, truth cannot be spoken, and injustice cannot be challenged.
Whenever these three pillars fall—God, ideological balance, and free speech—history shows that nations descend into suffering and brutality.
This is not speculation. This is documented reality. This is what the last century has taught us. And if we can't learn this lesson, we will inevitably repeat it.
When Free Speech Ministries began, it felt as though we were standing on the brink of losing everything that made America a beacon of liberty. But deeper study revealed something sobering:
This moment is not unique.
Every generation stands in danger of losing the balance that keeps liberty alive.
There is always a temptation to silence dissent.
Always a temptation to abandon truth.
Always a temptation to forget God.
And because the danger is constant, the calling is constant:
We must remain vigilant.
We must speak.
We must stand.
Not because we are special,
but because it is simply our turn.
This is not an abstract debate.
History is not theoretical.
The stakes are real human lives, human dignity, and the moral foundation of society.
Truth is real.
God is real.
His name is Jesus Christ.
And every one of us will give an account for both our actions and our silence.
Free Speech Ministries exists to restore moral clarity and courage in the public square:
We train students to communicate truth with boldness and compassion.
We anchor debate in Scripture, logic, evidence, and reality.
We expose cultural falsehoods with clarity and charity.
We model discourse that is bold, civil, and intellectually honest.
We proclaim the Gospel of Jesus Christ without apology.
For a brief moment in time—
A generation, maybe two—
We had a walled garden.
A city on a hill: radiant, unshaken, a beacon to the nations. Its light pierced the darkness and gave hope to the world.
But we opened the gates. We let the snakes in.
They slithered quietly, sowing weeds, poisoning the roots.
Now the infestation spreads. The snakes are killing the gardeners. The light is fading. And we no longer remember how to fight the darkness.
It has been generations since we built this garden. We have forgotten the tools, the resolve, the faith that made it possible.
Now we stand in danger of losing everything; the garden, the light, the hope.
Yet the gardeners are not gone.
The roots are not dead.
We can remember.
We must remember.
Because if we do not fight, we will lose the greatest beacon of hope, love, truth, and light the world has ever known.
