Why Your Gift May Not Be Tax Deductible

Free Speech Ministries has submitted all proper documents to be considered a nonprofit. In order to be a legal nonprofit (and for you to benefit by your gift being tax deductible), we are required to be registered as a 501(c)(3). This process requires filing with both the states we operate in and the federal government. We are recognized by Colorado State, and have submitted everything to the IRS for review.

The review process typically takes anywhere from 3 to 12 months.

Once approved, our status will be backdated to the time of filing, and as such, we can have reasonable confidence that your gift will be tax deductible.

Where Your Support Goes

Free Speech Ministries is in the building phase, and steady support makes the mission possible. As we grow, our needs are focused and intentional:

  • $3,000/month (30%) — ministry operations, events, software, and outreach

  • $6,000/month (60%) — full-time salary for our Executive Director

  • $1,000/month (10%) — reserves and reinvestment for future growth

Launching a new campus chapter requires a one-time investment of $3,000 per campus.

In 2027, our goal is to launch 4 new chapters, bringing the message of truth and civil discourse to more students across the country.

If it’s your first time logging in, you’ll get an email link to set a password (otherwise, log in with your existing password).

Update your payment method

In your donor space, find your monthly donation.

Choose Update payment method.

Enter your new payment details and save.

Your next scheduled payment will use the new card.

Change your monthly amount

In your donor space, open your monthly donation.

Select Update amount.

Enter the new amount and confirm.

This change applies starting with the next payment.

Cancel / stop your monthly donation

In your donor space, open your monthly donation.

Select Stop / Cancel recurring donation and confirm.

Once stopped, it can’t be restarted—you’d need to make a new recurring donation.

Next charge date + past-due retries

(if a payment fails)

If a payment fails, your donation may show as Past due (it’s still active).

Payments are retried automatically: first retry 5 days after the failed attempt, then about every 3–5 days, up to 5 attempts total.

You’ll receive an email each time a payment attempt fails. If you update your card and a retry succeeds, your donation returns to active.
